Hydraulic Hoses: common questions

Which hydraulic hose do I need, 1 wire, 2 wire or 4 wire?

It depends on the working pressure of the circuit. 1 wire hose (SAE 100 R1AT) suits lower pressure lines, 2 wire (EN 853 2SN, SAE 100 R16) covers most plant and agricultural machinery, and 4 wire (4SH, 4SP) is for very high pressure and heavy duty applications. Bring the old hose in or call us and we will match it.

Can you make a hydraulic hose from my old one?

Yes. Bring the old hose to our trade counter in Kimpton and we will identify the hose type, fittings and length, then make up a replacement assembly. If the machine cannot move, our mobile vans can make and fit the hose on site.
