What we collect and why
- Contact and breakdown requests: your name, company, phone numbers, email, location and message, so we can respond to your enquiry or send an engineer. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Trade credit applications: business details, details of owners, partners or directors, bank and trade references, and your signature. We use this to assess and manage your trade account, which includes contacting your references and, with your consent as given on the application, carrying out credit searches. Credit reference agencies will record the search.
- Technical information: our hosting provider may log IP addresses and basic request data for security. We record the IP address of credit application submissions as part of the signed record.
Cookies and storage
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you start a trade credit application, your answers (never your signature) are saved in your own browser so you can finish later. You can clear this at any time with the “Start again” option or through your browser settings. Embedded Google Maps may set their own cookies when loaded.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where needed: with credit reference agencies and the references you provide (credit applications), with our email and hosting providers who process data on our behalf, and where required by law. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and any follow up. Account and credit records are kept for the life of the account and for up to six years afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email [email protected].
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection. Form submissions are validated and sent directly to our team by email, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us.
